The Pink Lady is a very old, fashionable drink. It's darned good too.

Shake to mix:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 1/2 oz. Grendadine
  • 1 oz. Cream

Pour into a chilled Martini glass.

The original recipe also contained an egg white, although that's now illegal to serve raw; if you'd like to make the drink at home, use a pasteurized egg. The egg white will give the drink a thick, gelatine-y texture. If you're determined to get the same effect without the egg, try actual gelatin, unflavored, dissolved in warm water.
